Types of Graves
We offer the possibility of concessioning, online, different types of burial in the cemetery that is closest to your usual address.
Cemeteries
In recent years, Cementiris de Barcelona has created different spaces so that citizens can scatter the ashes of their loved ones in natural environments that represent a heritage of great value. Short concessions or rent, temporary concessions for 15, 30 or 50 years can be contracted.
This garden occupies a privileged place in the cemetery, it is a balcony overlooking the sea, where you can bury the ashes previously deposited in biodegradable urns, next to a family plant or tree. Up to 5 urns can be buried there.
It is a space created within the Montjuïc cemetery so that families can scatter their ashes for free, in a space specially prepared for this purpose. The garden consists of a large flowerbed of colored gravel, equipped with automatic irrigation and small square flowerbeds.
Space intended for the burial of biodegradable urns, on which a plant will be placed (lavender, sage or rosemary).
Gardens where ashes can be deposited in a community burial pyramid, with the option of placing a plaque in memory of the loved one.
Space located in a privileged place in the Montjuïc Cemetery with a large viewpoint facing the sea. Its function is the burial of ashes that, previously, will have been deposited in biodegradable urns next to a plant or a tree.
The space will also have cinerary columbariums and tomb-type cineraries.
It is a space that makes up a large terrace in the Montjuïc Cemetery, made up of a large flowerbed equipped with automatic irrigation prepared for the scattering of ashes.

Cemeteries
Space enabled for the burial of the cinerary urn. We have different types of cremation columbariums in the Montjuïc Cemetery.
Es tracta d’un nou columbari cinerari en forma de xiprer. És una escultura original i exclusiva de corten i vidre que té espai per a dipositar una o dues urnes de cendres. La seva estructura fa que quedi totalment integrada entre els xiprers del Jardí de la Mediterrània.

This typology of columbariums is a pioneer in Spain.
Cinerary columbariums equipped for the burial of 1 or 2 cinerary urns. They are located in a stone wall of Montjuïc in the Mediterranean Garden. The corten gives an aged look to the columbarium.
These types of columbarium are located in the Mediterranean Garden and the cinerary urns are buried on the ground. It has a marble tombstone and also a headboard at the top to be able to make an inscription. It has capacity for 4 urns.
Les alzines cineràries estan integrades dins del jardí de les aromes, un espai íntim que convida a la calma amb unes vistes privilegiades al mar i a la Barcelona Olímpica. Aquest arbre familiar permet dipositar fins a un màxim de 4 urnes biodegradables.
Cemeteries
It is a municipal construction and the most common in our cemeteries. In order to bury a person, two years must have passed since the last burial. There are different types of niches depending on their shape and size and this will determine their capacity.
The niches can have different ornamental elements to beautify them and families can choose them according to their tastes. In a niche you can place a personalized tombstone, side strips with the names of the people buried inside, stainless steel frame, vases, flowers, crosses, among other elements.
Cemeteries
This type of graves are the least common in cemeteries, although we can find a large number of them in Montjuïc. These are private buildings that have been built on cemetery land. To be able to build a pantheon, the current regulations in force must be taken into account. Pantheons classified as historic or monumental will have a specific treatment when rehabilitating them. Pantheons can have more than one department and on occasion will have a crypt where burials can be carried out.
To beautify the pantheons, we have different types of ornamental elements that, in each case, must be authorized according to the type of pantheon.
Cementiris
They are municipally constructed graves where the burial takes place underground. In many cases, the graves have more than one department and this does not prevent the possibility of burying two people in less than two years.
To beautify the tombs, we have different types of ornamental elements, religious or not, such as headstones, flower beds, small sculptures, vases, among others.
