» A guided tour of the Poblenou Cemetery explains the figures of ten leading women in their time
» Representatives of different eras, environments and social classes, they are united by the need to claim the emancipation of women
Cementiris de Barcelona commemorates International Women's Day with the guided tour "A women's walk", at the Poblenou Cemetery. The itinerary promoted by the first funeral site in Barcelona allows you to get up close to ten women who became leaders in their time and who meant a point of reference for the following generations.
Their graves bring us closer to different eras, environments and social classes. Despite the differences, the point of union between all the protagonists was the need to claim female emancipation. The 10 women are the visible face of many others who were relegated to anonymity, but who also expressed their desire for freedom.
The guided tour took place on March 8, at 11 a.m., free of charge, and lasted 1.30 hours. You can see the news in the following link: https://beteve.cat/societat/10- women-fighters-cementiri-poblenou/
